Northeast Massachusetts Innovation Economy and Workforce Report Release
An event for the release of a new study by the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, funded by Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and Essex County Community Foundation for North Shore Technology Council, examining the trends and workforce needs of the technology sector.
Researchers from the Donahue Institute will reveal the findings of a new 2024 workforce study. Following the presentation, a panel of experts from industry, government, and academia will discuss their perspective.
Findings will include:
- Regional demographic, economic, and technology trends;
- The state of innovation in Northeast Massachusetts;
- Strengths and weaknesses of the region’s business and workforce;
- Recommendations to meet employer needs with a qualified workers; and
- The role of industry, academia, and government in forging a path forward.
