Working in close collaboration with the Commonwealth’s Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED), the Innovation Institute at the MassTech Collaborative administers the Technology & Innovation Ecosystem Awards Program to support capital projects, led by organizations in Massachusetts, that provide a new technology, business, talent, capital or other ecosystem support program or initiative that demonstrably contributes to growth in the state’s technology and innovation sectors.
With the T&I Ecosystem Program, we seek to strengthen the technology and innovation ecosystem in regions across the Commonwealth. The objective of this program is to advance technology and innovation sector projects or initiatives that will contribute to a competitive advantage for existing and emerging industry clusters in Massachusetts and will improve conditions overall for job growth; business expansion and new business formation; and other indicators of growth in the innovation economy (i.e. capital formation, increased export products and services, improved labor pools, increased wages, etc.).
The T&I Ecosystem Program will managed by the Innovation Institute in close collaboration with MassTech’s other divisions, including the Center for Advanced Manufacturing, the Mass. eHealth Institute & the MassCyberCenter, as appropriate.
This grant is offered through an open solicitation.
Applicants are encouraged to notify the Innovation Institute of their interest to apply and are asked to submit a preliminary concept paper prior to submitting a full application.
All infrastructure awards and resulting expenditures are subject to the availability of bond funding from the Commonwealth as determined by EOHED and the Executive Office for Administration and Finance.
