BOSTON, Mass. – The Healey-Driscoll administration has awarded $4,994,520 to establish a Quantum Computing Complex at the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) in Holyoke. The MGHPCC will work with their industry partner for this grant, QuEra Computing Inc., on a two-year project to install and deploy a state-of-the-art neutral atom quantum computer.
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – Today, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced a $1.3 million, two-year grant to Boston University to expand and improve the capabilities of the New England Research Cloud (NERC). WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – The Healey-Driscoll Administration has awarded $555,000 to support the establishment of the Health AI Assurance Laboratory located at UMass Chan Medical School and run in partnership with Bedford-based MITRE Corporation. The new department, established within the Innovation Institute at MassTech, will help catalyze a comprehensive statewide cluster development effort for robotics that will focus on expansion of research and development (R&D), testing, commercialization, and workforce development throughout the state.
BOSTON – The Healey-Driscoll administration is celebrating Northeastern University for winning three federal grants totaling $6 million from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s (NTIA) Public Wireless Supply Chain Innovation Fund to support their Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (WIoT). The federal investments supported by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, which provided $1.52 million in capital grant funding from the Technology & Innovation Ecosystem Awards program managed by the Innovation Institute at MassTech.

The award will support a collaborative project between WNE’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing Systems (CAMS) that will work with Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) and local industry partners to grow the advanced welding cluster and deliver new highly skilled workers to employers in the region.
